Description
Description
Together with University of Maryland Medical Center's Infection Prevention Team, a small team of medical students are performing contact tracing for employees and patients who test positive for COVID-19. This involves communicating with employees, management, and leadership, and chart review. Based on interviews conducted by students, employees with COVID-19 exposure are instructed to monitor their symptoms or, if determined to be at high risk, employees are instructed to quarantine for 14 days. Both the Downtown Campus and Midtown Campus are supported with contact tracing, with over 40 index cases completed at this date. This work is done remotely under the supervision of infection prevention professionals.
