Finding a Path to Support Scholarly Careers: Primary Care Academics Transforming Healthcare

Description

Transforming the healthcare delivery system is a daunting feat requiring endless hours of work. Important frontline knowledge about redesign and implementation can be lost as clinician leaders frequently lack both the time and skills to disseminate their works through publications or presentations outside of their home institutions. At UW Health, a multidisciplinary coalition of physicians and change leaders partnered with a health services researcher to form a writing collaborative that supports presentations and publications about our primary care transformation journey. We will present our structure, process, and lessons learned so that others contemplating starting a similar model can benefit.
