Lean Belt Certification – Pathway for Student, Resident, and Faculty Development and Scholarship

Description

Formal training in Lean & Six Sigma methodologies with Lean Belt Certification for students, residents, and faculty at the Indiana University School of Medicine has yielded quality improvement, waste reduction, and patient safety in healthcare. This poster outlines the program pathway, how the program is structured, lessons learned, and the benefits to participants. This program can be readily instituted in other departments or organizations.
