Why is This So Difficult? Lessons Learned from the Initial Steps of Developing an Undergraduate Curriculum Focused on Enhancing Interpersonal Communication with Technology

This poster describes the initial implementation of a communication curriculum for undergraduate medical education. The overall plan for this project is to: address the need for interpersonal and other communication skills necessary for the effective practice of medicine; teach communication knowledge and skills within the broader context of theory; target the specific needs and issues related to populations impacted by socioeconomic and cultural factors; utilize technology to support educational activities as well as the clinical and administrative practice of medicine.
