The Clinical Impact of Health Behaviors on Emergency Department Visits


This presentation was part of the opening session of the May 2009 Academic Emergency Medicine Consensus Conference titled "Public Health in the Emergency Department: Surveillance, Screening, and Intervention." The presentation advocates for a public health approach to clinical emergency medicine and reviews important clinical presentations and public health scenarios that benefit from collaboration between the fields of emergency medicine and public health.
